WAVE RIDERS – WATER BIKE RENTAL AGREEMENT

User Declaration and Safety Compliance Agreement

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have read and understood the following rules for renting a water bike from Wave Riders and agree to comply with them.

1. General Rules

a) Maximum speed of 5 knots within 200 meters of the shoreline and other restricted areas.

b) Riders must not exceed the maximum distance of 1000 meters from the shoreline.

c) Maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters from swimmers, 5 meters from any other obstacles, vessels, or watercraft. If unsure, stop pedalling immediately & release the throttle (if applicable).

d) MANTA5 Riders must be 16 years or older, paddleboard bicycles have no age restriction if accompanied by an adult. All users must be competent swimmers, and in good health.

e) Riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances is strictly prohibited.

f) Riders must wear suitable clothing and all provided safety equipment at all times.

g) Riding is only permitted in safe water and weather conditions and only during daylight hours.

h) MANTA5 must launch in at least 2 meters of water depth and never ride in less than 1 meter.

Paddle board bicycles: Must launch in at least 1 meter of water depth and never ride in less than 1 meter.

2. Rider Responsibilities & Acknowledgements

a) I understand that operating a water bike carries inherent risks, including potential injury, drowning, or collision.

b) I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the safety of those around me while using the rented equipment.

c) I will follow all instructions given by Wave Riders staff and immediately report any issues with the equipment.

d) I understand that I am financially responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment due to misuse or negligence.

e) I acknowledge that Wave Riders is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during my rental period.

3. Liability Waiver & Indemnity Agreement

I agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Wave Riders, its employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my misuse of the rented equipment. I fully understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in the immediate termination of my rental without refund and potential legal liability.

4. Additional Safety Tips

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please follow these additional safety guidelines:

a) Secure Personal Items – Wave Riders is not responsible for any personal belongings. Avoid bringing valuables with you that may get wet, damaged lost or stolen.

b) Stay Alert – Continuously monitor your surroundings for boats, swimmers, or sudden weather changes.

c) Use Proper Balance – Distribute your weight evenly to prevent capsizing.

d) Conserve Energy – If you feel fatigued, take a break or return to shore early.

e) Signal for Help – If in distress, wave both arms or use the provided whistle, in case of life threating accident use emergency handheld smoke flare.

f) Avoid Sudden Turns – Sharp turns can cause loss of control.

g) If You Fall Off – Stay calm, hold onto the water bike, and remount from the rear.

h) If the Bike Malfunctions – Stop pedalling and signal for assistance.

i) If Weather Conditions Change – Return to shore immediately if strong winds, waves, or storms develop.

WAVE RIDERS – WINDSURFING SKATEBOARD RENTAL AGREEMENT
User Declaration and Safety Compliance Agreement

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have read and understood the following rules for renting an UrbanBreez skateboard from Wave Riders and agree to comply with them.

1. General Rules

a) Riders must be 16 years or older (unless accompanied by an adult). All users must have basic balance and coordination skills.

b) Riders must be in good physical health and free from any conditions that may impair their ability to ride safely.

c) Riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances is strictly prohibited.

d) Riders must wear a helmet and protective gear (wrist guards, knee, and elbow pads) at all times.

e) Closed-toe shoes and comfortable, flexible clothing are required.

f) Ride only in designated areas approved by Wave Riders.

g) Do not ride in extreme wind conditions.
h) Keep safe distance of at least 3m from other beach users.

i) Riding is only allowed during daylight hours.

j) Do not modify, tamper with, or remove any components of the skateboard.

k) Report any damage or malfunctions to staff immediately.

a) I understand that land windsurfing carries inherent risks, including falls, collisions, and potential injuries.

b) I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the safety of those around me while using the rented equipment.

c) I will follow all instructions provided by Wave Riders staff and obey all safety guidelines.

d) I acknowledge that reckless riding, excessive speed, or failure to follow safety rules may result in injury or termination of my rental without refund.

e) I understand that I am financially responsible for any damage caused to others or to the equipment due to misuse or negligence.

f) I acknowledge that Wave Riders is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during my rental period.

a) Check Equipment – Inspect the board, sail, and wheels before use. Report any issues to staff.

b) Practice Basics – If you are new to land windsurfing, start in an open, flat area before attempting turns or tricks.

c) Secure Loose Items – Avoid carrying anything that may affect balance or movement.

d) Control Your Speed – Slow down before turns and always be in control.

e) Be Aware of Surroundings – Watch for other riders, pedestrians, and obstacles.

f) Avoid Sudden Moves – Abrupt turns, stops, or shifts in weight can cause falls.

g) Use Proper Foot Positioning – Keep your feet firmly planted on the board for stability.

h) If You Lose Balance – Try to fall sideways, away from the board, and roll to reduce impact.

i) If the Board Malfunctions – Stop riding immediately and notify staff.

j) If Weather Changes – Stop riding and return the equipment if wind conditions become too strong or unpredictable.
